On April 12, 2018 in Muscat, Ambassador of Tajikistan in Kuwait Z. Zubaidov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman, Mr. Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullo.
During the conversation, the sides expressed mutual interest in strengthening and expanding bilateral relations in the political, economic, trade and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
It was also stressed that in order to enhance mutually beneficial cooperation, exchange of visits at senior and high levels, and the opening of embassies in both countries in the short term is considered expedient.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that the Government of Oman welcomes Tajikistan's international initiatives aimed at solving global problems and will be presented at international conferences in May and June in Dushanbe at a high level.
On the same day, the Ambassador met with the head of the Central Asia Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman, Mr. Ahmed Hamad Al-Jamri.
The sides discussed the development of cooperation in such areas as economy, energy, transport, investment, tourism and noted the need to expand the legal basis of the cooperation between the two countries.
