July 3, 2018 in Tokyo, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan the 11th Tokyo Dialogue of the "Central Asia plus Japan" Dialogue was held with the participation of representatives of Central Asian countries and eminent scholars and researchers.
The event was also attended by professors and experts from Central Asia and Japan from various state and public organizations and higher educational institutions of Japan.
Representatives of member countries of the "Central Asia + Japan" Dialogue made presentations in accordance with the main theme - "Regional Cooperation in Central Asia and Strategic Views on Regional Security." The Head of the Department for Analysis and Forecasting of Foreign Policy of the Strategic Research Center under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Hakim Abdulohi Rahnamo, represented the Republic of Tajikistan at the forum. He delivered a detailed speech on cooperation issues, proposed to expand existing ties and joint approaches in accordance with the topic of this dialogue, in particular in the fight against international extremism and terrorism.
At the end of the forum, a thorough exchange of views took place on the trends and prospects for further cooperation within the framework of the "Central Asia + Japan" Dialogue.
