On April 18, 2018 the political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Romania were held in Bucharest.
Tajik side was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Muzaffar Huseinzoda and the Romanian side was headed by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania Danut Nekulescu.
During the meeting the parties have discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in political, economic, cultural, educational and tourism spheres. The sides expressed their readiness to strengthen inter-parliamentary links and enhance legal basis of bilateral relations. Moreover, the sides stressed the interest to further strengthen cooperation under the EU Strategy for Central Asia.
The meeting resulted in a constructive dialogue on regional and international issues, as well as the cooperation between Tajikistan and Romania within the international organizations, particularly within the United Nations.
