On November 28, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, sent a telegram of condolences to the President of the People's Republic of China, Honorable Xi Jinping, which read:

"Dear Mr. President,

The news of the death and injury of a large number of people due to a severe fire in one of the residential complexes in Hong Kong, People's Republic of China, has caused us deep sorrow.

In connection with this great tragedy, I express my sincere condolences and sympathy to you, the relatives and families of the deceased, and all the friendly people of China. I wish a full recovery to all those injured."
