Meeting of the Ambassador with the Speaker of the National Assembly of Afghanistan

On 19 April 2021, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Afghanistan Sa'di Sharifi met with the Speaker of Meshrano Jirga (Senate) of the National Council of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Fazlhadi Muslimyar.

Referring to the good neighborliness and extensive relations between Tajikistan and Afghanistan, the Speaker of the Afghan Meshrono Jirga expressed gratitude to the people and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon because he always tried to end the war in Afghanistan. He called the good relations between the two brotherly countries very valuable for each other.

The Ambassador noted that the establishment of the Parliamentary Friendship Group, the activation of inter-parliamentary relations and the exchange of visits between friendship groups are important factors in strengthening relations between the two friendly and brotherly countries. He proposed to develop the tradition of strengthening the close relations between the Majlisi Milli of Tajikistan and the Senate of Afghanistan.
