An event dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the historical XVI Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan in Ashgabat

On May 29, 2022 in the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Turkmenistan was held an event dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the XVI Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan with the participation of compatriots living in Turkmenistan.

In his speech, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan, F.Sharifzoda noted the historical significance of the XVI Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan, which laid the foundation for strengthening of state power, formation of national sovereignty and determination of  the process of development of society.

The Ambassador told the attendees about the role of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in restoring peace and stability in the country, as well as socio-economic development of Tajikistan. It was noted that Tajikistan during 30 years of its Independence has been able to take a worthy place in the international arena in the light of wise policy and global initiatives of the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon.

As part of the event, archival photographs of the historical XVI Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan and the further implementation of the fateful decisions of the Session were illustrated, books of the President, publications and posters devoted to the activities of the Head of state were presented.
