Celebration of the International Navruz Holiday in Ashgabat

On March 19, 2024, the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan with the participation of representatives of the diplomatic corps of Turkmenistan, guests, tajik compatriots and employees of the Embassy celebrated the International Navruz Holiday.

During the festive event, the cultural corner was decorated with delicious national food and sweets, the symbols of Navruz; haft sin and haft shin were prepared and samples of national items, as well as handicrafts and embroidery, pottery, musical instruments, ancient folk crafts were exhibited.

During his speech, Ambassador Niyatbekzoda Vafo Alibek especially noted the wise policy and consistent efforts of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Esteemed Emomali Rahmon to recognize Navruz as an International Holiday.

At the speech the presentation of national values, respect to the historical traditions of ancient honoring of ancestors, especially the humanitarian and peace-loving qualities of Nowruz during its globalization process were mentioned.

In the cultural part of the event, children of compatriots and diplomats presented poems and songs about spring and Navruz to the guests.
