International Scientific Conference in honor of the 700th anniversary of the great Tajik-Persian poet Hafez Shirazi

In honor of the 700th anniversary of the great Persian poet Hafez Shirazi, the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Rudaki Association in Paris, in cooperation with UNESCO, invite researchers and scholars to participate in the International Scientific Conference. The event will explore Hafez’s literary, philosophical, and cultural legacy through a wide range of topics.

Format: In-person and online

Submission Deadline: May 15, 2025

Languages: Persian, English, French

Selected papers will be published.

Purpose of the Conference:

The event aims to promote an in-depth study of the literary and philosophical legacy of Hafez Shirazi and to highlight his enduring influence on world cultures, spiritual thought, and human civilization.

Key Themes Include:

-Literary and philosophical dimensions of Hafez’s work;

-Hafez’s message of tolerance, philanthropy, and peace;

-His role in challenging religious prejudice and promoting spiritual freedom;

-The influence of Hafez on music, especially Shashmaqom;

-Relevance of Hafez’s teachings in the modern world.

Presentation Format for Online Participants: Video statement up to 5 minutes

Article Requirements: Up to 6000 words (MS Word + PDF); must include full author information

Selected articles will be published in a dedicated collection.
