Meeting with the Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relation of Turkmenistan

On the 21st of January, 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan Vafo Niyatbekzoda met with the Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan Mr. Nazar Agahanov.

During the meeting, the interlocutors having discussed the current state and prospects for the further development of Tajik-Turkmen relations in the field of mutual trade and strengthening economic ties, exchanged views on the ways to increase trade turnover and expansion of working contacts between relevant structures and organizations of the two countries.

Noting the growth of mutual trade between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan in 2025, the parties considered it appropriate to establish direct permanent working contacts among interested entrepreneurs of the two countries and conclude certain agreements to create comfortable conditions in order to intensify bilateral economic relations
