Inter-parliamentary relations

Tajikistan and Germany have established good inter-parliamentary relations and deputies of the Majlisi Namoyandagon and the German Bundestag during negotiations and mutual visits discuss the development of relations between the two countries. Since 2005, the Interparliamentary Friendship Group of Tajikistan and Germany is operating under the Parliament of Tajikistan and there have been established close relations with the Central Asian Group of the German Bundestag.

In June 2019, the parliamentarians of Tajikistan met with their German counterparts and discussed topical issues on the agenda of bilateral relations.

In August 5, 2019, Bundestag Deputy, head of the Friendship Group “Germany and Central Asia” Manfred Grund paid a visit to the Republic of Tajikistan and held talks with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Muzaffar Huseynzoda and other representatives of the country. During the meeting, the Parties touched upon the current state and prospects of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Germany, expressed their commitment to the development of mutually beneficial relations in the political, economic, humanitarian and security spheres.
