Visiting offices of “Airbus” and “Euler Hermes” in Hamburg

A series of meetings of the economic delegation of Tajikistan, consisting of the leadership of JSC "Orienbank", JSC "Tavkhidbank" and LLC "Somon Air" is being organized at the initiative of the Embassy of Tajikistan in Germany to further develop and strengthen economic and trade relations with leading German companies.

The representatives of the banking institutions and the airline companies of the country together with the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Germany Imomudin Sattorov attended the Navruz Economic Forum in Hamburg and exchanged views with German partners on establishing cooperation in various fields.

On March 31, 2022, a meeting with the General Secretary of the leading company "Airbus Operations GmbH" Gunnar Gross was held to establish mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of air transport.

Along with familiarization with the multifaceted activities of "Airbus Operations GmbH", the Tajik delegation also was acquainted with the production process of various brands of Airbus passenger aircrafts.

It should be noted that Airbus is one of the largest manufacturers of passenger, cargo, and military aircraft in the world, and its main production plant is located in the French city of Toulouse. Airbus employs about 133 thousand people, of which 12,500 are in Hamburg.

On the same day, another meeting with the leadership of the “Euler Hermes Joint Stock Company”, particularly with the Head of Division Underwriting and Risk Management Jan-Philipp Apking and Senior Transportation Adviser Berthold Reuter was held. The meeting was aimed to strengthen further cooperation.

The "Euler Hermes" company offers a guarantee of export credits for entrepreneurs in order to revise the economic rating of countries as well as provides bank guarantees for commercial transactions.

It should be noted that the purpose of the meetings of the Tajik delegation with official representatives of government agencies and private companies primarily is to get acquainted with the German domestic market and establish direct working relations.
