Prospects for cooperation between Tajikistan and Germany in tourism sphere

On June 15, 2022, Ambassador Imomudin Sattorov met with the Head of the International Tourism Exhibition (ITB Berlin) David Ruetz.

The sides discussed the potential and opportunities for tourism in Tajikistan and expressed their readiness to further develop cooperation in this sphere and jointly promote the tourism industry.

The Ambassador said that Tajikistan has a great cultural and historical heritage, an advantageous geographical position, and attractive landscapes for the development of tourism. Thus, to attract more foreign tourists, from January 1, 2022, a unilateral visa-free regime of the Republic of Tajikistan was introduced for 52 countries, and from June 6 of this year, a direct flight Dushanbe-Munich-Dushanbe was launched.

During the talks, the participation of the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan in ITB Berlin-2023 and related events was discussed.

According to David Ruetz, the next International Tourism Fair ITB Berlin is to be held on March 7-9, 2023 in the Messe Berlin.
