Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in the German Federal Foreign Office

On July 7, 2022, at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Federal Republic of Germany, an official reception dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Germany was held in the “Lichthof” hall of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.

This event was attended by the members of the Bundestag, representatives of the relevant ministries and agencies, the diplomatic corps, international organizations, trade and economic, scientific circles, former German Ambassadors to Tajikistan, journalists and compatriots living in Germany.

The Ambassador of Tajikistan to Germany, Imomudin Sattorov, opened the event with a welcoming speech and stressed the development of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Germany, as well as the achievements of the parties over the past 30 years.

Imomudin Sattorov emphasized the outstanding role of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in strengthening friendly relations with Germany. Also, the focus was paid on the international initiatives of Tajikistan in the field of security, water, and energy, environmental protection, melting and saving glaciers, as well as preventing the consequences of climate change.

Head of the Department of the South Caucasus and Central Asia of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Ms. Anke Konrad, conveyed to the Ambassador of Tajikistan and those present a congratulatory message of the leadership of the Ministry. Referring to the further development of scientific and cultural cooperation, photographs of the famous Tajik photographer Didor Sadulloev were exhibited, which reflected the rich historical and cultural heritage, as well as the unique nature with beautiful lakes, sky-high peaks, cities, and hospitable people.

At the same time, the guests were interested in copies of photographs from the Exhibition of historical items of Tajikistan entitled "Tajikistan - a country of golden rivers." To study the rich history and culture of the Tajik people, the participants were presented with a book by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon "Tajiks in the Mirror of History" in German. After the official part of the event, the guests were treated with a variety of Tajik dishes and dried fruits.
