Celebration of the 31st Anniversary of State Independence in Berlin

On September 13, 2022, a reception dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the State Independence was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Federal Republic of Germany.

The event was attended by representatives of German government agencies, members of the Bundestag, scientific and cultural institutions, business associations, German companies, heads of the diplomatic corps in Berlin, the media, as well as a group of our compatriots.

In his congratulatory speech, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Germany Imomudin Sattorov emphasized the most important achievements of the country for 31 years of independence under the leadership of the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon. During this period, Tajikistan has made significant progress towards building a sovereign, democratic, legal, secular and social state, established diplomatic relations with various countries of the world within the framework of the "open door policy".

Furthermore, the international initiatives of Tajikistan in the field of water and the protection of glaciers were presented to the attention of the guests, including the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028”, the announcement of 2025 as the International Year for the Preservation of Glaciers, setting of a date for World Glacier Day and the importance of creating a special International Fund for Glaciers.

During his speech the Ambassador called on the German partners and participants to actively participate in strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of economy and investment.

To represent the rich Tajik culture, the German musician Mrs. Uta Schilling, together with the Tajik musician Khairullo Dadobaev, played the Tajik national musical instrument “doira”, which created a cheerful atmosphere.

The official part of the event was followed by the Tajik “dastarkhan”.
