Participation in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 27) briefing

On October 28, 2022, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Germany Imomudin Sattorov attended a joint briefing by the German Federal Foreign Office and the German Climate Consortium (DKK) on the upcoming Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 27, November 6-18, 2022 Sharm El Sheikh).

The briefing was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, international organizations, research institutes, economic circles, civil society, and high-ranking experts and journalists.

The State Secretary and Special Envoy for International Climate Action at the Federal Foreign Jennifer Morgan, the State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action Stefan Wenzel, the State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety, and Consumer Protection Christiane Rohleder and Deputy Director General for Multilateral and European Policy of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development Juergen Zattler addressed about the goals of COP-27, climate change and the participation of the German delegation under the slogan "More ambition in solidarity: our motto at COP27 in Egypt".

The Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Germany, Khaled Galal Abdelhamid spoke as the representative of the host country of COP 27.

Then, an exchange of views on climate change, the melting of the planet's glaciers, the transition to renewable energy sources, the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere, and joint cooperation between countries to prevent the negative effects of climate change took place between the participants and speakers.
