On November 21-25, 2022, the delegation of the country headed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Davlatali Said visited the cities of Berlin, Hamburg, and Lübeck to hold intergovernmental negotiations and participate in Tajikistan - Germany business forum.
Davlatali Said was accompanied by the heads of relevant ministries and agencies of Tajikistan, representatives of state and commercial banks, the private sector, as well as domestic entrepreneurs.
During his visit to Berlin, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan held bilateral meetings with the leadership of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the German Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS).
To consider the current state and prospects for cooperation, Davlatali Said met with the Executive Director of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, Michael Harms.
The round table, dedicated to the topic of mineral resources in Tajikistan with the participation of the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir and influential investment companies was organized in Berlin as well. In his speech, Sherali Kabir drew the attention of the audience to the rich natural mineral and non-mineral resources of the country. Sherali Kabir called on German investors to cooperate with Tajikistan to effectively use these opportunities.
At the Association of German Banks under the leadership of the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Hokim Khalikzod a round table, aimed to establish interbank cooperation was organized. Following the round table, the meetings of the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan and the management of Tajik banks with representatives of prestigious German banks were held.
On the evening of November 21, 2022, an official reception in honor of the visit of the official delegation of Tajikistan with the participation of prestigious German companies was held by the Eastern Committee of the German Economy.
On November 22, 2022, Tajikistan - Germany business forum was held in the port city of Hamburg with the participation of more than 65 influential German and European companies and 40 representatives of the domestic private sector. This event was held at the initiative of the Embassy of Tajikistan in Germany together with the Eastern Committee of the German Economy. A wide range of Tajik and German businessmen and officials from various structures of the two countries took part in it.
It is worth emphasizing that the Port of Hamburg is the largest port in Germany and the second largest port in Europe in terms of volume and plays an important role in trade relations between Asian and European countries.
