On January 20-29, 2023, the 87th International Agricultural Fair - "International Green Week" will be held in the Messe Berlin Exhibition Centre in Berlin, where the Republic of Tajikistan, along with other countries, presents the wide agricultural opportunities of the country.

At the initiative of the Embassy of Tajikistan to Germany, at the invitation of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Germany, as well as with the support of the German Agency for International Cooperation in Tajikistan (GIZ), the delegation of the country is participating in the fair.

The official delegation of the country consists of the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies, Deputy Chairmen of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management, Deputy Chairmen of the Export Agency, representatives of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as domestic entrepreneurs.

It should be noted that since 1926 the Green Week exhibition has been an important platform for the presentation of products and achievements in the field of agriculture, as well as the establishment of further cooperation with partners. The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan takes part in this exhibition for the first time.

Tajikistan presented more than 160 types of domestic products, including the food industry, pharmaceuticals, fresh and dried fruits, juices, water, as well as brochures on the agricultural and investment potential of the country. Along with this, the tourist opportunities and folk crafts of the country were presented to the participants.

On January 21, 2023, at the invitation of the German Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture, Cem Ozdemir, the 15th Berlin Agriculture Ministers’ Conference was held in Berlin under the title "Food Systems Transformation: A Worldwide Response to Multiple Crises", with the participation of about 70 Ministers of Agriculture and 14 representatives of international organizations. As the result of the conference, the final communiqué was adopted.

Since 2008, the Global Forum on Food and Agriculture has been held as part of the International Green Week exhibition. Ministers of Agriculture of various states and representatives of political, economic and commercial circles exchange views and experience on topical issues of sustainable development of agriculture, food security and other topics.

On the sidelines of the event, an exhibition of agricultural products from around the world is held, and as a result, hundreds of new agreements and contracts on cooperation and the sale of vital goods are signed.
