On March 1, 2023, the annual congress of the German Association for Small and Medium-sized Businesses (BVMW) was held in Berlin. It was attended by around 4,000 guests, including prominent politicians, ministers, heads of diplomatic missions in Berlin and representatives of the private sector.
Federal Minister of Finance Christian Lindner, Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Svenja Schulze, Federal Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Hubertus Heil, Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure of Germany Volker Wissing, as well as Latvian Prime Minister Arturs Krisjanis Karins and OSCE Secretary General General Helga- Maria Schmid participated as guests of honor of the event.
On the sidelines of the congress, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Germany Imomudin Sattorov met with political and economic circles, as well as heads of influential German companies.
During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on the establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation.
Imomudin Sattorov invited German partners to take part in the Tajik-German Economic Forum, which is to be held in June 2023 in Dushanbe.
In addition, corners for 50 diplomatic missions in Berlin were organized. In the corner of Tajikistan, the guests were provided with information about the economic potential, investment and tourism opportunities of the country.
For reference: the German Association for Small and Medium-sized Businesses (BVMW) was founded in 1975 in Bonn and unites about 900,000 small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany.
The Association represents the interests of its 28,000 members in the country and abroad and has 65 representative offices in different parts of the world.
