On March 28-29, 2023, on the joint initiative of the Federal Foreign Office and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, an international high-level conference " Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2023 " was held.
This conference brought together ministers and high-level delegations from more than 90 countries, the business community, international energy organisations, producing electricity from clean and renewable energy sources, as well as research institutions, experts, civil society under the motto of Energiewende – Securing a Green Future".
The delegation of the country in the conference was represented by the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Germany Imomudin Sattorov.
During two days, the delegations met and exchanged ideas on strategies for achieving climate neutrality, switching to "green energy" and preventing the negative effects of climate change.
As part of the Berlin Dialogue, the Ambassador of Tajikistan met with heads of delegations from various countries, as well as agencies and companies working in the field of renewable energy.
Imomudin Sattorov drew the attention of the interlocutors to the global initiatives of Tajikistan aimed at the consequences of climate change, protect glaciers, as well as to the historic UN-2023 Water Conference with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in New York.
Given the annual hydropower potential of Tajikistan of 527 billion kWh and the solar energy reserve of about 25 billion kWh, potential partners and reputable companies were invited to start mutually beneficial cooperation in these areas.
