On 5-7 March 2024, the international exhibition “ITB Berlin” was held in Berlin, where the tourism potential of Tajikistan and folk crafts were presented.
With the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and in cooperation with the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Embassy of Tajikistan in Germany and the Messe Berlin exhibition complex, the country's stand was organized on an area of 64 square meters.
In the Tajik corner, visitors, travel enthusiasts and potential partners were presented with promotional materials on tourism opportunities, travel guides, maps, information leaflets, samples of folk crafts and other relevant information.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, meetings were held between the leadership of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan with representatives of relevant German institutions and travel companies from various countries in order to establish further cooperation.
The national dish “Oshi Palov” as a rich cultural and historical heritage of the Tajik people, included in the UNESCO Intangible World Heritage List, was prepared by professional chefs and presented to ITB guests.
To showcase the rich culture of the Tajik people, musician Khairullo Dadoboev lifted the spirits of the audience by playing the national instrument Doira.
According to the organisers, 180 countries with more than 10,000 exhibitors were represented at ITB Berlin in 2024.
