Meeting of the Ambassador with the leadership of the German Solar Industry Association

The Ambassador of Tajikistan to Germany, Imomudin Sattorov, conducted a meeting with David Wedepohl, Managing Director of International Affairs at the German Solar Association (BSW Solar), and Christoph Urbschat, Managing Director of Eclareon GmbH.

At the meeting, the interlocutors were briefed on the country's rich renewable energy potential and presented the goal of making Tajikistan a 'green country' by 2037.

Imomudin Sattorov pointed out that Tajikistan has 300 days of sunshine a year and noted that the country has great potential for the development of solar energy production. In this regard, the German side was invited to consider the possibility of activating solar energy production projects and establishing working relations with Tajik institutions for the exchange of experience in the field of photovoltaics.

It is worth mentioning that the BSW Solar was established in 1979 under the name "Medium Solar Energy Union" and became the "German Solar Industry Association " in 1998. In 2023, the number of its members reached 1,000.
