The 34th Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan was celebrated in Berlin

On September 10, 2025, a 34th anniversary celebration of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan was held in Berlin. Members of the German parliament (Bundestag), representatives of federal ministries, members of the diplomatic corps, and representatives of business and cultural circles and the media, as well as Tajik compatriots living in Germany, took part in the celebration.

In his address, Imomudin Sattorov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Germany, referred to independence as a great historical achievement and highlighted the country’s accomplishments during the years of independence. He also mentioned Tajikistan’s international initiatives under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon.

A congratulatory speech was also delivered by Mr. Niklas Wagner, the newly appointed Special Representative of the Federal Foreign Office for Cooperation with Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia. He conveyed the greetings of the German Federal Government on the occasion of Tajikistan’s Independence Day, emphasising that Tajikistan is a reliable partner of Germany in Central Asia. Mutually beneficial cooperation between the two sides will continue in areas such as climate protection, science and culture, and security, as well as within the C5+1 format.
