Prize of the Republic of Tajikistan Awarded at Anniversary Horse Racing Event in Magdeburg

On 20 June 2026, Magdeburg hosted a horse racing event marking the 120th anniversary of the Magdeburger Renn-Verein. As part of the programme, the Prize of the Republic of Tajikistan was awarded for the third time.

The event was held under the patronage of the President of the Landtag (State Parliament) of Saxony-Anhalt, Mr. Gunnar Schellenberger, and brought together representatives of political, economic and cultural circles, members of the diplomatic corps, and media representatives.

The race for the Prize of the Republic of Tajikistan was held over a distance of 1,300 metres. The winners were awarded prizes and commemorative gifts. The event also served as a platform for promoting Tajikistan’s tourism potential and economic opportunities.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Federal Republic of Germany, Imomudin Sattorov, congratulated the winners during the award ceremony and noted that participation in such events plays an important role in strengthening friendly relations and expanding cooperation between Tajikistan and Germany.
