Participation of Tajikistan’s delegation at the 39 session of the General Conference of UNESCO

Delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan consisting of the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan Shamsiddin Orumbekzoda, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on Social Development and Public Relations, and the Executive Secretary of the Tajikistan National Commission for UNESCO Mavjuda Nurova participated at the 39 session of the General Conference of UNESCO in Paris.

The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan conveyed the gratitude letter of the Leader of Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, HE. Mr. Emomali Rahmon to UNESCO Executive Director Ms. Irina Bokova for her productive activities as the head of this influential organization and contribution to the development of relations between Tajikistan and UNESCO.

At the conference the Minister of Culture delivered a statement. In his speech Shamsiddin Orumbekzoda mentioned a fruitful cooperation between Tajikistan and UNESCO, as well as country’s achievements in the field of science, education, culture and protection of historical monuments.

The 39 session of the General Conference of UNESCO will continue its work until November 15, 2017.
