In projects of implementation guidelines and instructions of the founder of the peace and national unity - Leader of the nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on the Declaration of "Twenty years of study and development of natural, exact and mathematical sciences in education", which was announced on annual message, on January 9, 2020, a meeting of Ambassador of Tajikistan to Germany Sohibnazar Gayratsho with the Vice-President of the University named after Christian Albrecht of Kiel Professor Ms Anna Pistor and Head of the International centre Dr. Martine Smode.
During the meeting the Ambassador noted the importance of the German experience in the field of dual education (education concurrent with employment) and special attention to research in the natural sciences taking into account the decisions of the government of the Republic of Tajikistan on the country's industrialization and the introduction of scientific achievements and innovations in agriculture, livestock and hydropower, expressed interest in Tajik universities in establishing cooperation with this ancient and famous German University.
Sohibnazar Gayratsho asked his counterpart to consider allocating quotas to Tajik students for short-term summer courses and providing scholarships to study at the Christian-Albrecht University in the field of natural Sciences, environmental protection, agriculture and hydropower. At the same time, it was proposed to train German students in the centers of linguistics, Oriental studies, Islamic studies and The Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan in order to study the processes of climate change on the glaciers of Tajikistan. The Ambassador said that universities and research institutions of Tajikistan are ready to sign cooperation agreements.
Professor Anya Pistor, expressing interest in cooperation with Tajikistan, asked the administrations of the universities of Tajikistan to establish direct contacts with the Presidium of the Christian - Albrecht University of Germany.
