Victory Day celebration in Berlin

On May 9th, 2020 in honor of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Federal Republic of Germany Sohibnazar Gayratsho and the ambassadors of the Commonwealth of Independent States laid wreaths at the memorials of Soviet soldiers at the parks of Treptow and Tiergarten, at the capital of Germany, Berlin.

The Prime Minister of the state of Saxony, as well as the mayor of Berlin Michael Müller and other officials, was attended at the ceremony.

Every year in Berlin and other regions of Germany, various events are held to commemorate the victims of the Great Patriotic War, more than 100 thousand of whom are from the Republic of Tajikistan.

In his congratulatory message on the occasion of the Victory Day which was published in the newspaper "Berliner Telegraph", the Ambassador of Tajikistan emphasized the contribution of the Tajik people both on the front and in the rear, called unity and solidarity one of the most important factors of victory and called on the younger generation that the memory of the Tajik heroes and freedom fighters will always be fulfilled
