In the beginning of the year 2019 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Federal Republic of Germany Sohibnazar Gayratsho gave an interview to the journalists of the German magazine “Wostok”. The Interview was published in the regular edition of the magazine on January 2019.
In the interview titled “Having looking in the future we overcome challanges” the main points of the address of the Founder of national peace and unity, Leader of Nation – President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Emomali Rahmon to the Majlisi Oli were outlined. The strategic goals such as industrialization as a factor of development, as well as agriculture and tourism as main directions of the economy have been specified in the interview as well.
In the 8-page interview have been outlined the political, economic and social achievements of Tajikistan, including launch of the first aggregate of the Rogun HPP, inscribing of Tajik cultural elements to the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO, the new phase of rural development, development of tourism and folk crafts in 2019-2021.
The interview also provides information on the integration and cooperation of Tajikistan with the countries of the region and the world within the framework of the Open Door Policy, international initiatives of Tajikistan and international conferences.
During the interview the Ambassador of Tajikistan noted that in Tajikistan there are favourable grounds for cooperation and investments from Europe. He encouraged representatives of business circles of Germany to benefit from the existing advantages, such as cheap labour force, low cost electricity and favourable infrastructure, and invest in the economy of Tajikistan based on these beneficial terms. Sohibnazar Gayratsho also turned to German media and requested to publish the real, reliable and positive information on continued development of the country and achievements of Tajikistan.
