On December 8, 2020, regular political talks between Tajikistan and Germany were held under the leadership of Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Muzaffar Huseynzoda and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia Michael Siebert.
During the online meeting, the Parties exchanged views on the state and prospects of Tajik-German relations in the fields of politics, economy, science, culture, tourism and security. Cooperation between the two countries within regional and international organizations was also discussed. Special attention was paid to cooperation within the framework of the new EU Strategy for Central Asia and the Regional Program "Green Central Asia".
The Parties also expressed their readiness to develop cooperation in the field of energy efficiency, health, migration and work together to combat climate change, Covid-19 and its negative impact on the economy.
