Biometric Passport 

To whom can the Embassy issue a passport?

Citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan permanently or temporarily residing in the country where the diplomatic mission is assigned.

What documents are required to obtain a passport?

- an application addressed to the Embassy and completed standard form ;

- an internal passport of a citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan and its copy;

- a valid passport and its copy;

- a birth certificate and its copy;

- a document confirming the legality of a citizen's residence in the host country (visa);

- receipt of payment of the consular fee.

In order to verify that the applicant belongs to the citizenship of the Republic of Tajikistan and that he/she does not have citizenship of another state, the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Belgium has the right to request additional documents.

In some cases provided by the laws of Tajikistan, a citizen of Tajikistan may be temporarily refused in issuance of a passport.

What should one do in case of loss of a passport?

If you lose your passport, you must immediately contact the internal affairs authorities of the host country, as well as the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Belgium. In case of loss of a passport, a certificate of return to the Republic of Tajikistan is issued to a citizen to return to the Republic of Tajikistan.
