Visit of the delegation of Tajikistan to the Netherlands

On 9-14 October 2023, the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan comprising of representatives of the Ministries of Agriculture, Finance, Economic Development and Trade, State Committee on Investment and State Property Management, Export Agency, Badakhshan Mountain Autonomous Region, Khatlon Region, Agrarian University of Tajikistan and Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan paid a visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

During this trip, the delegation of Tajikistan got acquainted with the agricultural sector of the Netherlands and visited the innovation centres for greenhouses, orchards and seed growing, processing of fruit and dairy products, poultry farms and production of agro-industrial types of equipment.

In the framework of this visit and with the participation of companies and international innovation centres of the Netherlands there have been organized several specialized thematic events on investment opportunities in Tajikistan, cooperation in the field of science and innovation, exchange of experience and strengthening the ties between the businesses.

With a view to expanding the relations between the two countries in the relevant fields, a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on cooperation in the field of agriculture was signed.
