Meeting of the Ambassador with the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar

On July 11th, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan Zarobiddin Kosimi met with the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmed At-Tayib.

During the meeting both sides discussed issues of scientific, educational and cultural cooperation between Tajikistan and this world-famous institution.

Considering the status and world influence of Al-Azhar, much attention was paid to the development of cooperation in the field of teaching and propaganda of moderate Islam, religious tolerance and the fight against extremism.
