Celebrating Tajikistan's Independence Day in Cairo

On the evening of September 25, the State Independence Day of Tajikistan was solemnly celebrated in Cairo.

The gala evening dedicated to the State Independence Day of Tajikistan and the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations with Egypt, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan, took place with the wide participation of ambassadors and the diplomatic corps in Cairo, high-ranking representatives of the Egyptian parliament, ministries and departments, academia and culture, entrepreneurs and representatives mass media.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Zarobiddin Kosimi, spoke about the achievements of Tajikistan over the years of independence and the development of external relations, including with Egypt, and emphasized that Tajikistan and Egypt have great potential and resources to expand mutually beneficial cooperation.

During the ambassador’s speech, much attention was also paid to the presentation of Tajikistan’s global initiatives in the field of water and climate and the implementation of sustainable development goals, including the development of a “green economy” and “green energy”.

The paradise nature of Tajikistan, rich natural resources, ancient history and diverse culture of Tajiks were presented through the screening of documentaries and videos, as well as treating guests to national Tajik dishes and sweets.
