Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were established on December 18, 1995.

By the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated March 17, 2007, the Consulate General of the Republic of Tajikistan was opened in Dubai, UAE.
