Meeting with the President of the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly

On March 21, 2025, at the United Nations Headquarters, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin, held a meeting with the President of the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly Philemon Yang.

During the meeting, a wide range of pressing global issues were discussed, including climate change, international security, and the fight against terrorism. Both sides underscored the importance of further strengthening cooperation between the UN and its Member States to effectively address these challenges.

The importance of adoption of the General Assembly Resolution on "World Football Day" with the initiative of Tajikistan was emphasized as serving for the development of sports, including football.
