Meeting with the Leadership of Khyber Medical University, Pakistan

On October 28, 2025, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Yusuf Sharifzoda, held a meeting with the leadership of Khyber Medical University (KMU) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, to discuss ways of strengthening academic cooperation with the Republic of Tajikistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of establishing a branch of Khyber Medical University in the Republic of Tajikistan offering undergraduate programs in allied health sciences, including nursing, physiotherapy, optometry, nutrition, pharmacy, clinical psychology, prosthetic & orthotic Sciences, speech and language pathology, audiology, and occupational therapy, among others.

The university leadership noted that this initiative aims to promote academic exchange, enhance the quality of higher education, and contribute to the development of medical and health sciences in the Republic of Tajikistan.
