Meeting of the Ambassador with the Director General of the National Language Promotion Department of Pakistan

On 27 February 2026, a meeting took place between the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan and Professor Muhammad Salim Mazhar, Director General of the National Language Promotion Department of Pakistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a range of issues related to expanding Tajik-Pakistani cooperation in the fields of science and education, literature, language, and culture. The main focus was on strengthening academic ties, facilitating exchanges of scholars and researchers, conducting joint research, and promoting the shared cultural heritage of the two countries.

The parties also discussed the preparation of a book on Tajikistan to comprehensively introduce the country in Pakistan, as well as the organization of cultural events, including literary and musical gatherings.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized their readiness to continue fruitful cooperation.
