20 Years of the SCO: Cooperation for the Stability and Prosperity

Tajikistan Presidency in the SCO in 2020-2021 

Оn November 10.2020 the Summit of Heads of States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held via video-conference, hosted by the Russian Federation, which holds rotating SCO presidency for 2021.

The presidency on Shanghai Cooperation Organization for 2021year was passed from the Russian Federation to the Republic of Tajikistan.

A jubilee meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State, which coincide the 20th anniversary of the organization, will be held in 2021 in Dushanbe.

It is important to notice that, Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Mr. Emomali Rahmon, announced on above mentioned  video-conference the September 16-17, 2021 in Dushanbe as a date and venue of  upcoming and jubilee  meeting of the Heads of States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

The suggestion was unanimously supported by all member states.

For the implementation and celebrating jubilee event, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon approved the Concept of the Presidency of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2020-2021, the Primary Action Plan of the presidency of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2020-2021, the Intrastate Action Plan of the presidency of the Republic of Tajikistan in the SCO in 2020-2021, which includes number of events of various levels.

The jubilee event is expected to be attended by high level leaders of member and observer countries.
