Visit of the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Punjab Province of Pakistan

On 3rd March 2021 Ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan Mr Ismatullo Nasredin visited Panjab University in Lahore and conducted meeting with Vice Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmad and other representatives of the University. Sides have discussed issued related to educational cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan. During the meeting interest of both countries was expressed in relation to exchange of students, teachers and experiences.

Addressing the meeting, Ambassador Nasredin said that both the countries were historically and culturally connected and there is a need to promote people to people contact. He said that Tajikistan would welcome faculty members and students from Punjab University. Ambassador stressed the need to launch exchange programs among the universities of Tajikistan and Pakistan.

  At the outcome of the meeting Vice Chancellor of Panjab University has announced scholarships for the students of Tajikistan who would seek admissions from fall 2021 as a part of efforts to bring two nations together.

Ambassador Nasredin presented book written by Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan H.E. Emomali Rahmonov “Tajik in the Mirror of the History” to the Panjab University.
