To whom can the Consulate General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Istanbul issue a passport?

Citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan permanently or temporarily residing in the country where the diplomatic mission is assigned.

What documents are required to obtain a passport?

- an application addressed to the Consulate General (standard format);

- an internal passport of a citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan and its copy;

- a valid passport and its copy;

- a birth certificate and its copy;

- a document confirming the legality of a citizen's residence in the host country (visa);

- receipt of payment of the consular fee.

Bank account of the Consulate General:

In order to verify that the applicant belongs to the citizenship of the Republic of Tajikistan and that he/she does not have citizenship of another state, the Consulate General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Istanbul has the right to request additional documents.

In some cases provided by the laws of Tajikistan, a citizen of Tajikistan may be temporarily refused in issuance of a passport.

What should one do in case of loss of a passport?

If you lose your passport, you must immediately contact the internal affairs authorities of the host country, as well as the Consulate General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Istanbul. In case of loss of a passport, a certificate of return to the Republic of Tajikistan is issued to a citizen to return to the Republic of Tajikistan.

What is a Certificate of Return to the Republic of Tajikistan?

A certificate of return to the Republic of Tajikistan is a temporary document proving the identity of a citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan and giving the right to return to the Republic of Tajikistan. The certificate of return is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance.

A certificate of return is issued only once and is meant only for return to the Republic of Tajikistan. It cannot be used as a basis for residing abroad.

What kind of documents should be submitted to receive a Certificate of Return to the Republic of Tajikistan?

2. Copy of internal passport;
3. Copy of travel document (passport);
4. Two photos (3x4)
