The 14th International Folklore Festival

The 14th International Folklore Festival was held in Istanbul from 18 to 25 April 2019. About the initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon on the announcement of "Years of Rural Development, Tourism and Craft (2019-2021)" with the proposal and support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Istanbul. Childrens dance ensemble of “Zebo” participated in the festival.

As part of the festival, Tajik teenagers have met with the Chairman of Pendik District of Istanbul Ahmed Chin, Head of the District Culture Department Nuri Sinjanli, students of schools, citizens and Tajik students living in Istanbul. The national dance  performance  of the Tajik teenagers at the Festival attracted a great number of visitors and was awarded by the diplomas, prizes  and the highest award of the festival"Festival Stars".

On April 23, Tajik teenagers performed at the cultural event in Istanbul in honor of the "Children's Day and National Independence of Turkey".

It should be noted that the festival was attended by teenagers from 13 countries, including Turkey, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Serbia, Indonesia, China, Hungary, Northern Cyprus and Mongolia.

The Festival has been held since 2005 with the aim of propagandizing folk crafts, preserving national values ​​and respecting the cultural heritage of the countries.

The international festival consisted of three parts - the opening ceremony, the performances of the participating countries, and the closing part.
