On October 27, 2021 in Istanbul the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan Ziyozoda Sulaimon took part and delivered a speech at the 8th Ministerial Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Food Security and Agricultural Development.
In his speech, Ziyozoda Sulaimon noted that in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic and food crisis, which has become more frequent in recent years, the issues of food security and cooperation in agriculture, especially within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation have become of significant importance.
Mr. Ziyozoda Sulaimon proposed to the member states of the OIC to develop joint measures to overcome the negative consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic and revitalize the existing cooperation mechanisms.
