Visit of the Ambassador of Tajikistan to the One Street Museum

On January 17, 2023, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Ukraine Davlatali Nazrizoda, at the invitation of the Ukrainian side, visited the exhibition of the One Street Museum in Kyiv.

Director of the museum D. Shlensky opening the event, spoke in detail about the significance of the exhibition of masks of famous personalities and the activities of the museum as a whole. Then those present got acquainted with the exhibits of the museum.

It should be noted that the museum was founded in 1991 and the main part of its collection is dedicated to the history of Andreevsky street and its inhabitants. The main exhibits of the museum are household items, clothes, musical instruments, books, photographs and other things of the inhabitants of Adrievskiy street of different years, reflecting the history and interesting situations in the life of its inhabitants.

At the time, since 2002, the administration of the museum has also collected death masks of famous political and cultural figures from around the world, their number now reaches 335. Interestingly, the death masks of two heroes of the Tajik people, Sadriddin Ayni and Mirzo Tursunzoda, are exhibited among them.

The event was attended by heads of a number of diplomatic missions, representatives of scientific and cultural circles of Kyiv.
