Visit of the Ambassador of Tajikistan to the National Scientific Agricultural Library of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine

On October 25, 2023, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Ukraine Davlatali Nazrizoda visited the National Scientific Agricultural Library of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine.

During the meeting of the Ambassador of Tajikistan with the Director of the library Viktor Vergunov, an exchange of views took place on the state of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Ukraine, and the history and activities of this library were discussed.

Following the meeting, V. Vergunov introduced the guests to the achievements and procedures for conducting library activities. In particular, they visited rooms for storing books and historical-geographical maps, a laboratory and a room for copying books, reading rooms and corners of foreign books, including a corner of Tajik books.

It should be noted that the library was founded in 1917, and its fund includes more than 1 million books in 32 languages from 59 countries of the world. It is interesting that among books from foreign countries, books from Tajikistan are exhibited and using.

Also during the visit, the parties expressed interest in continuing the exchange of books and experience of agricultural specialists from Tajikistan and Ukraine, as well as organizing mutual visits delegations from both countries.

In conclusion, the Ambassador of Tajikistan left a special note and good wishes in the book of honored guests of the library.
