Meeting of the Ambassador of Tajikistan with the director of the Institute of Water Problems and Land Reclamation

On October 27, 2023, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Ukraine Davlatali Nazrizoda met with the Director of the Institute of Water Problems and Land Reclamation of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine Yatsyuk Mykhailo.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the state of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Ukraine, and the history and activities of this institution were discussed. The parties considered it necessary to exchange the experience of agricultural specialists from Tajikistan and Ukraine, taking into account the use of the professional experience of Ukrainian specialists in this field, as well as organize mutual visits of industry delegations from both countries.

The Ambassador of Tajikistan emphasized that Tajikistan is one of the main water-producing countries in Central Asia and occupies a worthy place in the production of green energy in the international arena. He also noted that consideration of issues related to fresh water is one of the priorities of the country's foreign policy, and in this context, five international initiatives of the Republic of Tajikistan received support from the international community.

The Tajik diplomat also noted that in order to develop the country and improve the economic and social level of the population, in 2018, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Emomali Rahmon, announced the fourth strategic goal - acceleration industrialization of the country, on the implementation of which, first of all, the implementation of many projects in the energy sector depends, and significant work is being done in this direction.

After the meeting, the Ambassador of Tajikistan got acquainted with the activities of one of the institute’s laboratories, which is testing equipment used in irrigation.
