Meeting with Tajik Women at the Embassy of Tajikistan in Ukraine

On December 1, 2025, a ceremonial meeting dedicated to National Flag Day of the Republic of Tajikistan was held at the Embassy of Tajikistan in Ukraine, with the participation of Tajik women living in Kyiv.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Ukraine, Davlatali Nazrizoda, stated that the National Flag is a sacred symbol of every country and every people. The National Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan is a symbol of identity, a symbol of statehood, and a symbol of the unity of the country’s people, and each of us must show patriotic respect for it.

The Ambassador noted that the Government of Tajikistan pays serious attention to the role of women in the development of society. He emphasized that the constructive role of women in the country is particularly highlighted by the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon. The Government of the Republic of Tajikistan has adopted a number of regulations aimed at encouraging women to join government institutions and other areas of public life, thereby increasing their contribution to the country’s development.

 The head of the diplomatic mission also commented on the Embassy’s activities and its cooperation with compatriots living in Ukraine, noting that next year will mark the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence, and in this regard, the Embassy plans to hold a number of important cultural events together with the diaspora.

The meeting also provided information on the current state and prospects of cooperation between Tajikistan and Ukraine. The head of the diplomatic mission encouraged Tajik women living in the host country to contribute to the development of Tajik-Ukrainian relations and to the promotion of Tajik culture, history, and literature in Ukraine.
