Tajik Ambassador meets with Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister

On February 25, 2021, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Sa'di Sharifi met with the Political Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan Mirwais Nab.

Tajik Ambassador Sharifi thanked Nab for his cooperation in holding the Ambassadors' Meeting "Heart of Asia - Istanbul Process" in Kabul (February 25, 2021) and noted that the relations between the two countries are growing in all fields. Sharifi also stressed that the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs is ready to hold a round of bilateral Consultations with the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and expects an Afghan delegation led by Mirwais Nab to visit Dushanbe.

Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister Mirwais Nab also expressed satisfaction that Tajik-Afghan relations have clear horizons and will expand in the future. Nab announced his and the Afghan delegation's readiness to visit Tajikistan and expressed hope that bilateral consultations between the Tajik and Afghan Ministries of Foreign Affairs would provide more standard and legal framework for expanding relations between the two countries, especially between the two ministries.
