On the evening of March 3, 2021, the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with ambassadors and representatives of neighboring, regional and Islamic countries at his residence in Kabul. The meeting was attended by First and Second Vice Presidents Amrullah Saleh and Sarwar Danesh, as well as National Security Adviser Hamdullah Moheb, Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar, Director General of the Presidential Office Shakir Kargar and other Afghan officials.
Ghani called his official visit to Tajikistan (March 29-30) very important and beneficial for both countries. Then he thanked the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan for hosting and successfully holding the Ninth Ministerial Conference of the "Heart of Asia - Istanbul Process" (March 30).
The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan further introduced the roadmap of the Afghan government for peace with the Taliban on the eve of the Afghan peace summit in Istanbul, Turkey (April 16). In this regard, he stressed that he wants to change the Government in the country only through the constitution, and for this purpose, he is ready to hold early presidential elections (if necessary, even in the next three or six months). Ghani stressed that the formation of an interim government in Afghanistan is what some countries want, it is basically a return to 20 years ago and it is not useful for the people.
