Meeting of the Ambassador with the First Vice President of Afghanistan

On April 18 in Kabul, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Afghanistan Sa'di Sharifi met with the First Vice President of Afghanistan Amrullo Soleh.

A. Soleh conveyed the gratitude of the President of Afghanistan Muhammad Ashraf Ghani to Tajikistan for the warm welcome from the President of Afghanistan and the hosting of the Ninth Ministerial Conference of "Heart of Asia - Istanbul Process" (29-30.03.2021). He stressed that the relations between Tajikistan and Afghanistan are unique, and the two countries support each other in all regional and international organizations. He added that in accordance with the agreement reached between the Presidents of Tajikistan and Afghanistan in Dushanbe, the two countries will further strengthen cooperation in the fight against common threats on the border.

The Ambassador of Tajikistan S. Sharifi recalled the special attention of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the issue of Afghanistan and reiterated the constant support of Tajikistan to the Afghan state in all areas, especially in the current peace process.

The sides also exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan and the region and the future of bilateral relations.
