Meeting of the Ambassador with Afghanistan's State Minister for Peace

On July 14 in Kabul, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Afghanistan Sa'di Sharifi met with Afghanistan's State Minister for Peace Sayed Saadat Mansoor Naderi at the request of the Afghan side. The issues of the Afghan peace process and the situation in the border areas of Afghanistan with Tajikistan have been considered during the meeting.

S.Naderi thanked the leadership of Tajikistan for the reception of Afghan soldiers and civilians who have taken refuge in Tajikistan. He praised the Tajik experience in restoring peace in 1997 and called for its use.

Continuing the meeting, the Ambassador of Tajikistan expressed concern over the current situation in the border areas of Afghanistan with Tajikistan, adding that Tajikistan wants an end to the war, negotiations between the parties to the conflict, and finding a solution that is acceptable to all Afghans.
