Ambassador's meeting with the Director of the Norwegian Refugee Council in Afghanistan

Astrid Sletten praised Tajikistan's initiative to provide shelter for Afghan military and civilian refugees in recent days, as well as the observance of all their rights, and added that this contributed to raising the country's rating on the world stage.

He called the current and future situation in Afghanistan very worrying and called on the Tajik government to assist the Norwegian Refugee Council to help refugees and internally displaced persons in Afghanistan.

Sa'di Sharifi praised this Norwegian institution's efforts to help the Afghan people in such a difficult situation and stressed that Tajikistan supports any international action to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people as well as to bring peace to the neighboring country.
